R2, a startup from Latin America that specializes in creating lending tools for tech companies, has successfully raised $59 million in a combination of equity and debt financing.
The funding includes a $9 million equity round in a Series A extension, led by investment firms Hi Ventures and Cometa from Mexico, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst and existing investors Y Combinator and Google’s Gradient Ventures.
Alongside the equity funding, R2 has also secured a credit line of up to $50 million from Community Investment Management, based in San Francisco. This credit line will be used to strengthen R2's lending operations in Chile.
The capital infusion will support the company's expansion efforts in the region and enhance its ability to provide financial solutions to technology firms.
