Argotec opens new satellite factory to boost production and innovation

Argotec, an Italian small satellite manufacturer, has recently opened its new manufacturing facility, SpacePark, in Turin, Italy.

SpacePark Facility

The SpacePark facility, which spans 11,500 square meters, includes 1,000 square meters of clean rooms for satellite manufacturing. The building itself was originally designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer and has been renovated by Argotec to create one of the most advanced space manufacturing facilities in Europe. The company has invested approximately 25 million euros in the renovation process.

Satellite Production

Argotec aims to produce up to one satellite per week and has recently signed a contract to build an additional 15 satellites.

SpacePark HUB

The SpacePark facility also includes an accelerator program called SpacePark HUB, which supports startups developing technologies relevant to Argotec's satellite systems.

Expansion Plans

Argotec operates two facilities in the United States and plans for expansion in the American market. Despite the significant investment in SpacePark, the company has maintained profitability and may pursue additional funding in the future. An initial public offering within the next three to five years is also a possibility.
