Dow rises as Treasury yields climb during holiday trading session

U.S. stock markets had a positive start with the Dow Jones Industrial Average increasing by 180 points, indicating the beginning of the Santa rally during the holiday season.

In the bond market, the yield on the 2-year Treasury note rose by 1 basis point to 4.351%, while the 10-year Treasury yield climbed 2 basis points to 4.606%, its highest level since late May. The 30-year Treasury bond also saw an increase, reaching 4.797%, its highest level since late April.
