Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, is currently facing challenges as the brand's growth has not met expectations.
Varun Alagh, the co-founder and CEO, has stated that Mamaearth is the company's top priority for recovery efforts.
The company reported a loss of Rs 19 crore for the July-September period, compared to a profit of Rs 29 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue also declined by 7% year-on-year.
This decline is attributed to a strategic shift in the offline business model, resulting in a Rs 70 crore impact.
Alagh acknowledged that the expected growth for Mamaearth did not materialize as planned, leading to a reassessment of investment strategies.
The company is actively working on solutions to restore the brand's growth in the upcoming quarters.
