Elyse Energy, a startup from France specializing in clean technology, has successfully secured around €120 million ($126 million) in funding. The funds will be used to support the company's initiatives in producing green fuels for the chemicals, shipping, and aviation sectors.
The funding round includes an equity investment from the Hy24 infrastructure fund, which has acquired a minority stake in Elyse Energy. Additionally, convertible bonds have been sold as part of the funding round. The capital raised will be directed towards enhancing Elyse Energy's production capabilities for renewable methanol, which can be used as both a chemical feedstock and fuel. The company also aims to produce biokerosene for aviation use.
This investment is a significant milestone for Elyse Energy as it strives to contribute to sustainable energy solutions in the maritime and aviation industries.
