global banks invest in fintech firm capitolis to enhance capital markets

Citi, Morgan Stanley, State Street, and UBS have made significant investments in Capitolis, a fintech firm, with each contributing $5 million.

This funding round, led by Citi, aims to support Capitolis' expansion in its Capital Marketplace and Portfolio Optimisation divisions.

The banks will also join Capitolis' board of directors, enhancing their involvement in the company's growth.

Capitolis has been recognized as one of CNBC’s World’s Top Fintech Companies and awarded the title of World’s Best FX Software Provider by Euromoney.

CEO Gil Mandelzis emphasized the company's strong partnerships with leading banks, which have played a crucial role in its growth and success within a well-regulated financial system.

State Street's senior managing director, Tobias Krause, expressed excitement for the continued partnership with Capitolis, noting that the addition of key bank investors will further accelerate the firm's success in capital markets optimization products.
