Mountside Ventures has launched the Emerging VC Manager Program, which is Europe's first accelerator designed specifically for emerging venture capital managers.
The program aims to support fund managers with unique strategies as they navigate the complexities of fundraising and investment management. It is a twelve-week program that provides participants with valuable resources, including one-on-one mentorship from experienced venture capitalists and limited partner experts.
The mentorship network includes representatives from organizations such as KfW, AXA Ventures, LocalGlobe, and Hoxton Ventures, who have collectively raised over $11 billion across 80 funds.
The program also includes LP matching events in key cities like Berlin, London, and Amsterdam, facilitating connections between participants and potential investors.
Mountside Ventures recognizes the challenges faced by emerging venture capitalists in fundraising and aims to bridge the gap for underrepresented managers seeking to raise their first to third funds. The program is supported by corporate partners, including Osborne Clarke, Sage, and Blue Future Partners, who are committed to fostering diversity and innovation in the venture capital space.
The program specifically targets venture capitalists looking to establish their first to third funds, provided they have a clearly defined strategy and a partner team with substantial industry knowledge. The selection process involves an online application and an introductory meeting, with additional information and references potentially being requested.
Mountside Ventures is committed to identifying and nurturing promising talent within the venture capital sector. Applications for the program are currently open.
