HSBC appoints interim leaders for risk and compliance divisions

HSBC has named an interim chief for group risk and compliance, with Blackburn assuming the position. Blackburn has a strong background in senior risk leadership roles, including serving as chief risk officer for Global Banking Markets, Commercial Banking, MENAT, and Europe.

Currently, Blackburn holds the position of global head of traded and treasury risk management and global analytics.

In other news, Wentzel, who has been with HSBC since 2015, continues to lead global banking in the MENAT region. Wentzel's extensive experience in the banking industry further enhances HSBC's leadership team during this period of transition.
