EasyJet Reports Strong Performance with 82.8 Million Passengers in 2022/23

UBS has reiterated its Buy recommendation for easyJet plc, a major player in the low-cost airline sector in Europe.

The company's sales are primarily driven by passenger transport, which accounts for 63.9% of its revenue. In the 2022/23 fiscal year, easyJet carried 82.8 million passengers. Ancillary services, such as baggage handling, catering, and car rental, contribute to the remaining 36.1% of revenue.

As of September 2023, easyJet operates a fleet of 336 aircraft. The United Kingdom is its largest market, accounting for 53.2% of sales. Other key markets include Switzerland (9.7%), France (10.4%), Southern Europe (17.5%), and Northern Europe (7.5%). A small share of sales comes from other regions (1.7%). easyJet's diversified geographical presence highlights its strategic positioning in the competitive airline industry.
