The European Central Bank President, Christine Lagarde, expressed her satisfaction with the progress made in reducing inflation, which has now fallen below the targeted 2% threshold.
Lagarde mentioned the significant decline in consumer-price growth, which had previously reached over 10%. She credited the ECB's policies for contributing to the easing of inflationary pressures.
Lagarde's remarks were made during an event hosted by the Atlantic Council in Washington, as the ECB continues to closely monitor economic conditions in order to maintain stability in the eurozone.
