Citigroup promotes three bankers to enhance healthcare mergers and acquisitions team

Citigroup has made promotions in its healthcare mergers and acquisitions division to strengthen its presence in the sector.

Sumit Khedekar, who previously led the biopharmaceutical unit and healthcare investment banking in America, has been appointed as the global head of healthcare.

Nishant Jadav is now the global head of healthcare services, and Michael Guarino will lead healthcare services in North America.

These promotions recognize the significant contributions of Khedekar, Jadav, and Guarino in the biopharma and healthcare services sectors.

Khedekar joined Citigroup in 2022 after working at Credit Suisse and Bank of America, while Jadav joined in 2022 after a 17-year career at Bank of America.

Guarino, a former Goldman Sachs banker, has been with Citi since 2022, overseeing the North American healthcare technology investment bank.

The bank has recently been involved in major healthcare transactions, including the $16.5 billion sale of Catalent to Novo Nordisk's parent company.
