JD.com Inc. has reported a 5.1% increase in quarterly revenue, indicating a cautious resurgence in consumer spending in China as the government works to stimulate the economy.
Sales for the three months ending in September reached 260.4 billion yuan ($36 billion), slightly exceeding the average market estimate of 259.7 billion yuan.
JD.com's net income also saw significant growth, surging by 48% to 11.7 billion yuan. This reflects the ongoing recovery in the Chinese market, as consumers regain confidence amid efforts by Beijing to revitalize economic activity.
