The new competition chief of the European Union, Teresa Ribera, has expressed the importance of the bloc taking decisive action against China's increasing influence in the clean-tech sector.
Ribera emphasized that both Europe and the United States have underestimated China's ambitions for global dominance in clean technologies.
Ribera cautioned that the EU must ensure that its exports do not undermine local competitors and stressed the urgency of addressing this challenge.
She called for a more vigilant approach to protect the EU's clean-tech market from potential threats posed by Chinese companies, which could disrupt the competitive landscape within the bloc.
