xpeng targets 10000 annual sales of electric van and quadcopter combo

XPENG has introduced a new quadcopter drone that can fit inside an electric van. The company aims to sell 10,000 units per year at a price of around $276,000.

The quadcopter was demonstrated at the Zhuhai Air Show, where XPENG received 2,000 orders, the largest order volume in the flying car industry so far. Production capacity will be increased by the end of next year, and deliveries are expected to start in 2026.

Although it may not meet traditional flying car expectations, XPENG's offering is a unique entry into the electric aircraft market, targeting affluent consumers. Public pre-orders for individual owners will open in December, indicating strong interest in this innovative transportation solution.
