pro women's volleyball league secures 100 million in funding before launch

A new women's volleyball startup, League One Volleyball, has successfully raised $100 million from private equity firms for the launch of a professional league in the United States in January.

The significant financial backing highlights the increasing interest and potential in women's sports, particularly professional volleyball.

Atwater Capital, a female-founded investment firm, participated in the funding round along with existing investors Ares Management and Left Lane Capital. This latest investment brings the total funding for League One Volleyball to $160 million.
