TVS Motor focuses on value over discounts in electric two-wheeler market

TVS Motor Company has stated that it will not participate in price wars to gain market share in the electric two-wheeler segment. Despite facing competition from Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric, Ather, and Hero MotoCorp, the company's CEO, K N Radhakrishnan, emphasized their focus on providing value to customers rather than offering discounts.

The decision comes as Ola Electric and Ather Energy have implemented significant price reductions on their electric scooters. Ola has lowered the prices of its entry-level S1X model by Rs 5,000-10,000, while Ather is offering Diwali discounts of up to Rs 25,000 on its 450X and 450 Apex models.

Radhakrishnan also mentioned that the introduction of the 2.2 kWh battery variant of the TVS iQube, priced at Rs 95,000, has resulted in a significant increase in sales, indicating a strong demand for this segment.
