UBS Group CEO Sergio Ermotti remains confident in the competition among banks in Switzerland, even with the integration of Credit Suisse.

Ermotti assures that UBS will not dominate the banking sector, as there are over 200 domestic and foreign banks in the country. He emphasizes that competition remains strong.

Ermotti also advises against imposing stricter banking regulations, stating that while some proposed measures have support, they should be targeted and proportionate. He warns that excessive regulation could harm Switzerland's financial center and suggests avoiding rules that are not recognized elsewhere.

As for the integration of Credit Suisse, Ermotti acknowledges that UBS is facing challenges with IT migration as it transitions CS clients to its platforms, but overall progress is being made.
