AMD has reported impressive financial results for the third fiscal quarter, with record revenue of $6.8 billion, driven by strong performance in the data center and client segments.
The data center segment achieved remarkable revenue growth of 122% year-over-year, thanks to robust sales of AMD's Epyc CPUs and Instinct GPUs.
The client segment also showed positive growth, fueled by demand for the Zen 5 Ryzen processors.
However, the gaming segment faced challenges, with revenue declining by 69% due to lower semi-custom revenue.
The embedded segment also reported a decrease in revenue.
Despite these setbacks, AMD's overall gross margins improved to 54%.
Looking ahead, AMD remains optimistic about its trajectory and expects to achieve record annual revenue for 2024.
The company's competitive positioning is strong compared to Intel, and it is well-positioned to capture a larger share of the growing demand for advanced computing technologies.
