rosé and bruno mars collaboration boosts yg plus shares to seven month high

YG Plus shares experienced a significant increase after the release of the collaboration track "APT" by Rosé of BLACKPINK and Bruno Mars. The track achieved top rankings on Spotify’s Top 50 Global playlist and iTunes’ Top 100: Global chart.

The success of "APT" led to a nearly 30% rise in YG Plus shares on Monday, followed by an additional increase of 29.8% on Tuesday. The official music video for the track has garnered over 82.9 million views, making it the most successful male-female duet debut of 2024.

Rosé, who debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016, embarked on a solo career after leaving YG Entertainment at the end of 2023. She signed with The Black Label, a YG subsidiary, and U.S. record label Atlantic Records, with her records distributed by YG Plus. Despite the achievements of South Korean pop stars, YG Entertainment's stock has faced challenges in the global music industry, resulting in a year-to-date decline of 22.5%.
