swiss medical network expands with acquisition of centromedico practices in ticino

Swiss Medical Network (SMN) has acquired PDS Medical, which operates ten Centromedico medical practices in Ticino.

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, but it aims to establish a new integrated regional health network in Switzerland.

This initiative is based on the Réseau de l'Arc, known for its focus on preventive and comprehensive patient care.

The newly formed organization will be called St. Anne's Network, according to SMN's parent company, Aevis Victoria.

Starting January 1, the Viva health plan, which includes basic health insurance, will be available in Ticino, improving healthcare accessibility in the region.

PDS Medical had sales of 42 million francs last year and is an important provider of primary medical care in Ticino.
