Asian markets cautious ahead of Nvidia earnings as oil prices rise

Asian shares showed caution ahead of Nvidia"s earnings report as investors were concerned about potential disappointment. Nvidia, a tech giant seen as a key indicator for the AI sector, is scheduled to announce its third-quarter results after the market closes.

Options trading indicates a significant potential movement of around 9% in either direction for the $3.6 trillion company, following a 4.9% increase in share price overnight.

In the broader market, Nasdaq futures rose 0.2% after a 1% jump the previous day, while MSCI"s Asia-Pacific index remained unchanged and Tokyo"s Nikkei declined by 0.3%.

The US dollar retraced some of its recent gains, and oil prices saw a slight increase, with West Texas Intermediate crude futures rising 0.2% to $69.53 a barrel, building on modest overnight gains.
