Maersk shares experienced a 1% decline to DKK 10,235 after UBS downgraded its recommendation from buy to neutral.
UBS also lowered its target price for the company from DKK 13,953 to DKK 11,000, citing a misalignment with its investment thesis.
UBS expressed concerns about the company's valuation, which has not seen any growth since July 2023, despite acknowledging that it has historically been undervalued compared to its peers and fleet replacement costs.
The bank suggested that some investors may see Maersk as a potential value trap in the coming months.
