foreign institutional investors resume buying in indian equities after long selling streak

FIIs have started buying Indian equities again, purchasing shares worth Rs 1,158 crore in the latest trading session. This is a significant change as DIIs, who had been consistently buying for 13 sessions, turned into net sellers on November 25.

On that day, DIIs sold shares worth Rs 10,317 crore while acquiring Rs 8,406 crore in equities. In another notable development, FIIs also bought shares worth Rs 1,158 crore on November 26, ending a streak of 38 consecutive sessions of selling. During this trading session, FIIs purchased Rs 10,971 crore in shares while offloading Rs 9,813 crore.

Year-to-date figures show that FIIs have sold Rs 2.83 lakh crore in shares, while DIIs have bought Rs 5.54 lakh crore worth of equities.
