Tata Motors expands electric vehicle showrooms despite market challenges

Tata Motors is continuing to focus on its electric vehicle (EV) strategy despite a slowdown in the market.

The company plans to expand its Tata.ev showrooms gradually in order to boost sales of battery-powered vehicles.

Vivek Srivatsa, chief commercial officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, highlighted that these showrooms are specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of EV customers, incorporating features that address inquiries and promote a better understanding of EV technology.

Tata's franchisee partners have already started selling electric versions of popular models like Punch, Tiago, Tigor, and Nexon at these dedicated outlets.

Furthermore, the recently introduced Currv EV, which is also available with an internal combustion engine, has been added to the lineup since November.

This strategic move is expected to help accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles among consumers.
