Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is preparing to say goodbye to Shinichi Yokote, its longest-serving partner in Tokyo, who will be retiring at the end of the year.
Yokote has been a prominent figure at the firm for more than 20 years, currently holding the position of chairman of fixed income and equities in Japan. The news of his retirement was announced in an internal memo on October 3, which has been confirmed by a company spokesperson.
The memo did not provide any information about a successor to Yokote's role. His departure represents a significant change for Goldman Sachs in the Japanese market, where he has played a crucial role in the firm's operations.
