Raoul Jacot-Descombes has been appointed as the new Group Chief Risk Officer at Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), starting in mid-January. He has been with the private bank for nine years and previously held the position of Head of Risk & Compliance since 2015.
In his new role, Jacot-Descombes will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of risk monitoring, including operational, liquidity, market, and counterparty risks. Prior to joining UBP, Jacot-Descombes served as Deputy CEO at the Fédération des Entreprises Romandes (FER Geneve) for less than a year before resigning.
This announcement comes amidst a leadership change at FER Geneve, with Chairman Philippe Fleury stepping down after 18 months due to differences in the association's future direction.
