Wiwi Gutmannsbauer has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer for the Asia-Pacific region at UBS Wealth Management, effective from the beginning of the year. He will continue to serve as the COO of Global Wealth Management while traveling between Singapore and Zurich.
Gutmannsbauer's appointment as the COO for the APAC region is a strategic move aimed at strengthening the management team in the region. He has extensive experience in various roles, including COO for Region EMEA and Operating Head for WM Booking Center Switzerland & Emerging Market Locations.
Iqbal Khan, co-head of Wealth Management, expressed confidence in Gutmannsbauer's ability to support the next phase of regional growth, emphasizing his familiarity with the APAC market. UBS Wealth Management has been co-led by Khan and Rob Karofsky since the summer, with Khan also taking on responsibilities for the APAC region. Karofsky, who previously headed the Investment Bank, now oversees UBS Americas in addition to his role in Wealth Management.
