Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company debuted on the market on November 14, closing unchanged despite challenging market conditions.
The stock opened at Rs 78.14 on the NSE, showing a 5.6 percent increase from its issue price, and reached a high of Rs 81 during the day. However, it struggled to maintain these gains and ended at Rs 74.02, a slight increase of 0.03 percent, with a trading volume of 3.88 crore shares.
On the BSE, shares also closed unchanged at Rs 74, after peaking at Rs 80.94 and dropping to Rs 73.60, with a volume of 28.87 lakh shares.
Niva Bupa Health Insurance is now valued at Rs 13,520 crore, making it the fourth health insurer to be listed in the market, following ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Star Health and Allied Insurance, and The New India Assurance Company.
The overall market sentiment remains cautious, with the Nifty 50 index down 10.4 percent from its record high on September 27.
