HeartFocus, an AI-enabled heart echo software developed by DESKi, has partnered with Butterfly Network to launch an innovative education app for cardiac care.
The app aims to enhance healthcare practitioners' proficiency in mastering ten essential cardiac views using AI-powered self-paced learning. It is compatible with Butterfly iQ3 and iQ+ probes and is available for a limited time with a complimentary six-month license.
The CEO of DESKi, Bertrand Moal, believes that the app has the potential to transform cardiac care and likened it to "tomorrow's stethoscope."
Darius Shahida, Chief Strategy Officer at Butterfly Network, also expressed confidence in the app's impact on cardiac care.
The launch of the app aligns with the growing integration of technology and education in the healthcare sector.
Butterfly Network's financial performance has shown growth, with Q2 2024 revenue reaching $21.5 million and a significant reduction in net loss and operating expenses.
The company has also obtained EU MDR certification for its Butterfly IQ+ ultrasound system, enabling expansion into the European market.
Butterfly Network has strategic collaborations beyond HeartFocus, including a co-development collaboration with Forest Neurotech to create a whole-brain neural interface.
The integration of AI and advanced ultrasound technology is expected to redefine cardiac care, and the HeartFocus education app is a significant step in equipping healthcare professionals with the necessary tools and knowledge for accurate diagnostics.
