BCE Inc., the largest telecommunications company in Canada, has made a significant move into the U.S. market by acquiring Northwest Fiber LLC, also known as Ziply Fiber, for C$5 billion (approximately $3.6 billion).
This acquisition allows BCE to expand its presence and capabilities in the broadband sector, specifically in the Pacific Northwest region, which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. BCE aims to take advantage of the increasing demand for high-speed internet services in this area.
