Vi's Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, Mathan Babu Kasilingam, has announced his resignation, expressing optimism for the company's future.
In his statement, he highlighted the rewarding experience of working with a dedicated team and did not disclose reasons for his departure or future plans.
During his tenure, Kasilingam played a crucial role in leading cybersecurity initiatives and collaborating with government and regulatory bodies to establish compliance guidelines.
His exit comes at a pivotal time for Vi, which has recently secured multi-billion dollar agreements with major European vendors, including Ericsson and Nokia, as well as South Korea's Samsung.
These partnerships aim to modernize and expand Vi's 4G network while initiating the rollout of commercial 5G services.
