Wind energy companies' shares experienced significant declines due to speculation surrounding the potential victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election. Concerns have been raised that a Trump administration may shift the focus from renewable energy to fossil fuels, which could have a negative impact on the green energy sector.
Danish companies, such as Orsted A/S and Vestas Wind Systems A/S, were particularly affected, with drops of up to 14% and 13% respectively. Similar declines were observed in German companies RWE AG and Nordex SE, reflecting a broader trend of investor apprehension regarding the future of renewable energy under a potential Trump administration.
