BP p.l.c., a major player in the global oil industry, has been given a "Buy" rating by UBS.
The company's net sales are mainly driven by its refining and distribution segment, which makes up 76.1% of total sales. BP operates seven refineries, including three in the United States, and has a large network of 21,100 service stations, with 8,200 located in the U.S.
Apart from refining, BP's hydrocarbon exploration and production activities contribute 23.6% to its net sales, with daily production figures of 1,115,000 million barrels of oil and 196.6 million cubic meters of natural gas.
Geographically, the company's sales are divided with 28.8% coming from the United States, while the remaining 71.2% is generated from other international markets.
