The AIIB, a development lender headquartered in Beijing with 110 member states, has successfully addressed doubts about its operations since its establishment over a decade ago.
The bank's vice-president, Danny Alexander, stated that critics who questioned the institution's standards and intentions have been proven incorrect. During the AIIB's annual meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Alexander emphasized the bank's commitment to maintaining high standards and contributing positively to the international financial system.
He also highlighted the AIIB's openness to new members and private capital, reinforcing its role as a significant player in global infrastructure financing.
