Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the 'INGLO' platform for its upcoming electric SUVs, following the Electric Origin philosophy.
The company has announced that it will launch the first two models based on this platform next week. The INGLO platform is described as intuitive, intelligent, and immersive, offering top-notch safety standards, impressive range, and efficiency.
It features a lightweight, flat-floor skateboard structure and high-density battery technology, which maximizes cabin space and enhances comfort by eliminating the central tunnel found in traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. Mahindra claims that the INGLO platform provides excellent stability and handling, resulting in a lighter, more agile, and incredibly spacious driving experience.
The new electric brands, XEV and BE, will utilize the INGLO architecture and will be unveiled in Chennai on November 26. The platform supports advanced LFP battery options of 59 kWh and 79 kWh, addressing range anxiety with fast-charging capabilities that allow for a 20-80% charge in just 20 minutes. It also incorporates an intelligent battery and thermal management system to maintain performance over multiple charge cycles.
