This project aims to transform Mumbai's Dharavi slum into a district of international standards.

The opposition, led by Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT), had promised to reclaim the land allocated to Adani and cancel the redevelopment initiative if they came into power.

However, with the BJP and its allies securing a majority of the assembly seats, concerns about the future of the Dharavi project have been alleviated.

This outcome is particularly important for Adani, who is currently facing bribery allegations in a U.S. court, as the cancellation of the project would have been a significant setback for his business interests.
