Former Prime Minister Najib Razak has been ordered by Malaysia's High Court to defend himself against additional corruption charges related to the 1MDB sovereign wealth fund scandal.
This ruling is another setback for Najib, who is currently serving a prison sentence for his involvement in the case.
Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah confirmed the validity of the charges during a session in Kuala Lumpur, highlighting the credibility of all prosecution witnesses, including former Malaysian central bank governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz.
The court's decision highlights the ongoing legal challenges faced by Najib as he deals with the complexities of the high-profile corruption allegations.
