The Travelers Companies, Inc., a prominent insurance group in the United States, has disclosed the breakdown of its sales across different business segments.
The largest share of its sales, at 46.1%, comes from business insurance. Within this category, commercial multi-peril insurance accounts for 24% of revenues, followed by workers' compensation at 20%, and automobile insurance at 17.4%. Other significant segments include general liability insurance at 16.8%, commercial property insurance at 15.3%, and various other insurance products making up 6.5%.
Apart from business insurance, Travelers also generates 35.7% of its sales from personal insurance, which includes car and home insurance. The company further diversifies its portfolio with financial institution indemnity insurance, contributing 9.2% of total revenues through professional liability insurance, surety agreements, and other insurance risks.
Geographically, the majority of Travelers' sales, 94.4%, come from the United States, while Canada and other regions contribute 3.5% and 2.1%, respectively, highlighting the company's strong domestic presence in the insurance market.
