Congress leader criticizes brother over family court dispute and share transfer

YS Sharmila, a Congress leader, has criticized her brother, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, for his remarks about their family dispute, describing it as a typical household matter.

During a press conference, she questioned the appropriateness of involving their mother in legal proceedings, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the siblings.

Sharmila noted that the shares of Saraswati Power and Industries, which Jagan had promised to transfer to her, were not seized by the Enforcement Directorate in his ongoing legal troubles. She emphasized that these shares could have been transferred earlier, as per their 2019 Memorandum of Understanding, which stated that Jagan would gift his and his wife's shares to Sharmila once pending cases were resolved.

In September, Jagan filed a petition with the National Company Law Tribunal to revoke the MoU, accusing Sharmila of unlawfully transferring shares held by him and his wife to herself and their mother, Vijayamma.

This family dispute has garnered significant attention, raising concerns about its impact on their political and business affairs.
