African Bank Ltd. has decided to delay its planned public listing until 2028, instead of the previously announced date of 2025.
The CEO, Kennedy Bungane, has stressed the importance of a successful listing and stated that the timing will depend on various factors such as market conditions, advisers, the board, and investor sentiment.
The bank, which was rescued by South Africa's central bank ten years ago, intends to proceed with the listing after releasing its full-year financial results for 2027.
This delay is part of the bank's commitment to thorough preparation and ensuring readiness before entering the public market.
