Kristine Schulze has been elected to the Bank Council of Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) by the Zurich Cantonal Council, succeeding Heinrich Kisker, who stepped down due to age-related term limits.
Schulze, a member of the SP parliamentary group, will serve the remaining term from 2024 to 2027. The composition of the Bank Council reflects the strength of parliamentary groups in the cantonal parliament, with the SP entitled to a third seat following the 2023 elections.
With extensive experience in the financial sector spanning over 30 years, Schulze has held significant roles at Credit Suisse, Coop Bank, and the Helvetia Group. Currently responsible for sustainability at the Swiss Insurance Association, she is recognized as a specialist in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
Jörg Müller-Ganz, Chairman of the ZKB Bank Council, expressed enthusiasm for her election, highlighting her suitability for the role given her background in sustainability within the financial industry.
