AT&T Inc. has outlined its strategic growth plan to become the leading connectivity provider in America.
The company aims to modernize its 5G wireless network, with a focus on creating a more efficient and open network. By 2027, AT&T plans to complete the modernization of its 5G infrastructure, providing deep mid-band 5G coverage to over 300 million people.
In terms of broadband, AT&T has the largest fiber network in the United States and aims to reach over 50 million locations with fiber by the end of 2029. The company also plans to phase out its legacy copper network operations by the end of 2029.
AT&T remains committed to meeting its financial and operational guidance, projecting a Free Cash Flow of over $16 billion for 2025. The strategic plan is expected to generate over $50 billion in financial capacity over the next three years, primarily through organic growth.
AT&T plans to allocate over $40 billion of this financial capacity to dividends and share repurchases, while also setting aside around $10 billion for potential strategic investments and debt repayment.
By executing its strategic vision, AT&T aims to enhance its competitive edge in the connectivity landscape and deliver value to its shareholders.
