Pictet expands Zurich team with acquisition of UBS private bankers

Pictet is strengthening its Zurich private banking unit by hiring four specialists from UBS. The new hires, Gregor Meier, Martin Frei, Steffen Glos, and Roger Baumann, will join Pictet at the Leuenhof building on Bahnhofstrasse from October 1, 2024.

These senior private bankers played a key role in developing UBS's private banking unit in Zurich. Pictet's recruitment strategy aims to enhance its presence in German-speaking Switzerland, particularly in Zurich and Geneva. Pictet emphasizes organic growth rather than acquisitions.

Verena Gross, Head of Wealth Management German Switzerland at Pictet, emphasizes the importance of long-term success for employees, regardless of their previous affiliations. Pictet currently employs over 200 staff at its Leuenhof location, close to Paradeplatz.
