limited earning downgrades seen in select consumer stocks amid market volatility

Neeraj Chadawar, the Head of Quantitative Equity Research at Axis Securities, has identified certain stocks in the consumer sector that he believes have limited potential for earnings downgrades.

In an interview with Moneycontrol, Chadawar emphasized the resilience of these companies in the face of market volatility influenced by various factors such as upcoming state election results, potential U.S. policy changes, a recovering Chinese economy, and fluctuations in U.S. bond yields and oil prices.

Chadawar also mentioned that, following recent market corrections, there are certain sectors that offer a greater margin of safety in the near term, including large-cap private banks, telecom, select consumption stocks, IT, and pharma.
