HSBC Holdings Plc's new CEO, Georges Elhedery, is making significant changes to the bank's senior management team.
Celine Herweijer, the group chief sustainability officer, will leave the bank at the end of the year.
Julian Wentzel, who currently heads global banking for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkiye, will temporarily take on Herweijer's role.
The sustainability role will no longer report directly to the CEO, indicating a restructuring of the bank's executive hierarchy.
These changes are part of Elhedery's broader strategy to reshape the leadership team at HSBC.
