Bitwise has announced the launch of a new investment product called the Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF.
The ETF will focus on publicly traded companies that hold at least 1,000 BTC in their corporate treasuries. It will include companies with a market capitalization of at least $100 million and a daily trading liquidity of over $1 million.
The weighting strategy for the ETF will be based on the market value of each company's Bitcoin holdings, with a maximum weight of 25% per constituent.
Bitwise plans to update the ETF's index quarterly using public corporate reports.
The proposal for this ETF comes at a time when corporate adoption of Bitcoin is increasing, with many companies integrating Bitcoin into their treasuries. The ETF aims to capitalize on this trend and provide investors with exposure to companies that are actively engaged in the cryptocurrency space.
