The National Stock Exchange (NSE) provisional data on December 4 showed that foreign institutional investors (FIIs) purchased shares worth Rs 1,798 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares valued at Rs 901 crore.
During the trading session, DIIs acquired shares worth Rs 14,082 crore but sold Rs 14,983 crore, indicating a significant outflow. In contrast, FIIs purchased shares totaling Rs 19,969 crore and sold equities worth Rs 18,171 crore.
Year-to-date figures show that FIIs have net sold shares amounting to Rs 2.94 lakh crore, while DIIs have net bought shares worth Rs 5.72 lakh crore, highlighting a contrasting trend in institutional investment behavior.
