udge declines to sanction musk for skipping sec meeting for rocket launch

US District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley has chosen not to penalize Elon Musk for failing to attend a meeting with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in order to be present at a rocket launch.

The judge acknowledged that Musk had already agreed to reimburse the SEC $2,923 for the airfare of three agency lawyers who were left waiting in Los Angeles in September.

Musk eventually met with the SEC lawyers for testimony on October 3, fulfilling his obligation after the missed meeting.

This decision highlights the ongoing interactions between Musk and regulatory authorities as he manages his commitments in both the aerospace and financial sectors.
