German power prices reached their highest level in more than a year due to predictions of colder weather and a decrease in renewable energy production.
The price of next-month futures in Germany rose by up to 4.4% on Monday, marking the highest price since October of the previous year.
Similarly, the power contract in France also experienced a 4.3% increase. This increase in energy prices reflects concerns about potential supply limitations as winter approaches, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the European energy market.
