Uri government proposes salary cap for Cantonal Bank executives

The Uri government has suggested a maximum salary limit for the top management of the Cantonal Bank of Uri (UKB), with the head of the bank being paid a fixed salary of up to CHF 395,000.

This proposal is a response to a parliamentary suggestion that aims to restrict the salaries of Executive Board members to CHF 350,000. The decision reflects ongoing discussions about compensation structures in public banking institutions, highlighting the government's dedication to fiscal responsibility and transparency in remuneration within the public sector.

The proposal will be reviewed by parliament in the upcoming sessions.
